7/31 update

Last night we went to go see Rachel, she is still doing well. They had to move her ventilator up a little bit back to 40 to help her breathe when they are suctioning her, but they said that is normal and she still is prety low for someone her age. They were not successful with the pick line, but they have someone coming in today to evaluate and they will try again.
When we were leaving I held her hand and she squeezed my finger as if to say "I'm okiay mom, I'm a fighter!" Whether that was a reflex or not it comforted me that she is going to fight to get out of her incubator.

I called this morning and got the update of the night and she had an uneventful night. They said she went down a little again when they suctioned her, but she came back up on her own. They were evaluating her for the 'picc' line and if that is a success her lines in the umbilical cord will come out! That's a step in the right direction. Rob and will be going up to see her a little later today and will probably have more news. Each little success that she has helps me keep fighting as well to get through the not so good days.

Stay tuned - more updates to come!
